Combing Images in a Creative Way

In class today we started a tutorial in photoshop and are learning how to combine multiple photos and details into our photos by using layers, learning how to use the selection tool, adding to it, creating certain shapes to get rid of and add. We also are using the brush tool on the layer mask to help conceal or blend certain parts of our images into our final look.

This was the final product of the tutorial we did in class before creating our own.

This is my original photo I created of the moment before the meteor hit when the dinosaurs were still alive. I was letting the audience see and feel the way it looked before it went to chaos. I had used the selection tool to pick the forest background and putting it over the volcano background. I used the transparent section to let the photos of the Dinos and meteor and used the move tool to move them into the places I had wanted them in. Then I went in with the solid color fill and placed it over the whole image to let it darken it and look like how it would if the volcano was erupting.

Coloring an Object Exercise

In class today we had to take an original photo of ours and change the color of an object. In my digital photography class we had to take photos in Black and White this morning, I had taken a photo of a rose. I decided to bring the color back into the rose but a different shade a red. We had to use the object selection tool and select what object we wanted to change. Then we created a group and added a solid color adjustment layer. Then after selecting what color or color matching, We added a levels adjustment layer to play with the contrast and give it definition.  We started off with following a tutorial of a changing the color of a couch.

Digital Media 2 Photoshop Review

In class today we did a review over photoshop tutorials, so that we were able to freshen up our minds with how to use it and so that we weren't completely clueless when we got into photoshop again in this class.
In this tutorial, I learned how to move specific parts of the image, brighten up the wings on the bird and learn how to turn on and off layers, with the layers controls.

In this tutorial, I learned how to brighten a darker
image that was too dark in certain places and used the adjustment layers and settings.

In this tutorial, I learned how to redo masks and how to blend images better into each other. I used the masking tools and used the masking techniques it taught me.

In this tutorial, I learned how to mess with the brightness, hue, saturation, and how to remove objects from the photos with the tools like the eye dropper, lasso, quick selection, and the adjustment layers.
In this tutorial, I learned how adjust lighting in a photo with the levels properties from the adjustment layers. I got to mess with the gray and white scale for the brightness.
In this tutorial, I learned how to fix a backlit photo with the curves adjustment layer. I got to learn how to adjust the back lighting. I never knew how to before and I found it really fun and cool to do.
