I love photography, media, designing media and try to do some for my hobbies so getting to read these interviews have really helped me open my eyes. I think the points that stood out to me were:
1. I never thought about what goes on behind the scenes in doing designs for scoreboards in Nic's interview I learned a lot about what they do just from his response. I think the thing that stood out o me in his post was when he mentioned having to take new ideas and figure how they appear not only in media but on the big screen and how everyone will perceive the image.
2. I never knew all the qualifications it took to even work in the field. I always thought that it was a learn as you go and help out in a team. Which I know you do as an intern but you still have to have so much skill to be able to continue on working in this field. In Lauren's interview she mentions how the qualifications pertain to the experience you have with design software such as Photoshop, After Effects and many more. It takes a lot of practice and skill to use this software.
3. I was blown away at how much one does in the Creative Department. In Jemma's interview I really liked and was blown away when she lists the range they do. It was very interesting to learn and see what all they are able to do within the field. "At the Pirates we do a large variety of things from print and web to digital and motion. Ads, logos, t-shirts, apparel, packaging, brochure and publication design, motion graphics and on occasion video and TV. We do a lot of large format signage, back-lit signs, wall graphics, banners and environment design. (Jemma)".
